# \[8] 4 - Criminal Use of Firearm

The discharge of a firearm for no legal reason, willfully—that is, intentionally/on-purpose.

**Note:** 

For a person to be charged, they must have either - intentionally discharged their firearm, or discharged it in a in a grossly negligent manner which could result in someone’s injury or death.

Not to be confused with an act of "accidental discharge."
