# \[8] 11 - Felon in Possession of a Firearm

Any person who has been convicted of a felony under the laws of San Andreas and has possession/control of any firearm.

**Firearm shall be confiscated.**\
**Sentence:** 20 Month(s)\
**Fine:** $3000

**Examples:** 

**1)** Trying to buy a rifle when you have a warrant for felony grand theft\
**2)** Carrying a handgun in a car after being convicted for felony elder abuse\
**3)** Having a shotgun after convicted for a felony offence

**Defenses:** 

**1)** Momentary possession,\
**2)** Justifiable possession, and/or\
**3)** Illegal search and seizure.
