# \[7] 2 - Possession Of a Controlled Substances

A person who possesses any controlled substance, expect when the substance has been lawfully prescribed to them by a licensed practitioner of medicine or is legally available without prescription is guilty under this code. A controlled substance is either a prescription medication, narcotic except Marijuana. (legal amount of marijuana being 3 ounces)

**1)** Going to a concert with a baggie of cocaine in a backpack.\
**2)** Driving to a friend’s house with Oxycodone in the glove box.\
