# \[4] 14 - Bribery

Confers, or agrees to confer, any benefit upon a public servant upon an agreement or understanding that such public servant's vote, opinion, judgement, action, decision or exercise of discretion as a public servant will thereby be influenced.

Bribery becomes a crime in several ways, it can either be Bribery of executive officers or public servants such as law enforcement officers, pubic employees, district attorneys or coroner offices.&#x20;

**Defense:**&#x20;

**1)** Lack of corrupt intent\
**2)** Entrapment or coercion\
**3)** Intoxication
